THEODORE JAPAN PROJECT-Top

Theodoa JAPAN project has launched to explore various challenging collaboration in the motif of Teddy Bear, the world’s beloved icon. For the project, all top level creators from Japan’s leading industries such as fashion, furniture, arts, animation, and digital technology got together.

In March 2013, it was officially announced that 「Teddy 11323.4°F（6000K）」A special collaboration of “Theodore JPANA Project” and “2014-15 AUTUMN/WIMTER COLLECTION” from “A DEGREE FAHRENTEIT” a fashion label by a worldwide top fashion designer Yu Amatsu.

* A pre-order for the limited version of 100 “Teddy ver. 60000K” was placed at Niconico Chokaigi 3 in April 2014..

This “Teddy bear” was born from collaboration of “Kairos”, a first class furniture maker in Japan with experienced specialists, “kraftDEEN”, our new label, and an “Tojaku”, an application developer. With latest digital technology, and “Ark Project” a group that proposes and promotes a new digital copyright system in Japan.

“Ark Project” started as a part of substantiative experiment led/presented by Digital Content Association of Japan (DCAJ) with a support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014. Its aim is to release and share secondary-usable and alterable 3D modeling data based on the policy of creative commons (CC) license

From April 1, 2014, the project continues with a support of Japan Contents Promote Organization (CPO-JP).

With a support of Ark Project, the copyright of the pattern data of “Teddy 11323.4°F (6000K)” in the form of PDF and CAD was released based on CC license, “CC zero”.

We are trying to create a new market, business, and contents with totally new concept while embodying collaboration between latest digital technology and Japan’s original mastery which emerges from a new trial of opening copyright.
